Run On Your Own Adventure Race
About the Race – ROYO
THIS IS A TREK ONLY ROYO – Biking is not allowed in Split Oak.
This is a real adventure race just without the crowd. You will be going to the location on your own (solo) or with a team. After you register for the race you will be provided a link to the race maps and information. The rules are below. The address on this page is the start location of the race (where you should park).
1. This is entirely on the Honor System; maps, competition, and donations.
2. There will not be any on-site event management while you are running the course – you are on your own with your and your team.
3. Print the course maps on standard 8.5×11 paper. Print the passport instructions.
4. Visit the controls in any order. The short course is any 6 controls .
5. You must record your track with any GPS software capable of recording the track (a phone-based app or a GPS watch is usually sufficient). You will submit your track along with a photo at each CP.
6. Be sure to carry water/fluids, a whistle, and a cell phone. A small first aid kit is also recommended.
7. If you are competing alone, let someone know where you are going, and how long you plan to be out there. We also suggest that you leave a copy of the map in your car, or with a friend, in case someone needs to come out to find/help you.
8. Allowable modes of travel are foot and mountain bike. Most of the course is also fun riding.
9. Once completed, send all photos, GPS files (or links), race report, and any other information to: results@flxadventures.com.
