Family 2 Hour Scavenger Race and Sport 4 Hour

About the Race

The Deviant Wolfe Adventure Race (aka DWAR) will take place in historic downtown Sanford, right off beautiful Lake Monroe.

This one of a kind race will include a 4-hour Sport AR division and a 2-hour Family Scavenger Hunt.  Both races will start and end at Deviant Wolfe Brewery.

Sport Race

The Sport 4-Hour race will include all the standard adventure racing disciplines… biking, trekking, and paddling. We will only be able to handle 30 teams for the Sport Race (first come, first serve) so don’t procrastinate registering or this race. This is a good race to try if it is your first adventure race.

Family Scavenger Race

The Scavenger Race will only consist of trekking/running and will be an incredibly fun scavenger style race in downtown Sanford. There will be two divisions for this race. Teams with kids that are 12 years or younger will race in the Recreational division, while all other teams will race in the Competitive division. This race will be appropriate for family members of all ages. No bike or other gear will be necessary for the Scavenger Race.

All Racers

This race will include Photo Checkpoints so you will need a phone or camera (we recommend phone) to log the Photo CP’s.

Spectators – During the races, friends, family & spectators will be able to watch live coverage of the race from inside the taproom while enjoying local food and craft brews from Deviant Wolfe!  The race coverage will include commentary by expert racers, live GPS tracking of teams, and live video feeds from racers on the course.

Post Race

After the race there will be an award ceremony followed by live music, food vendors, and other entertainment.  If that weren’t enough, Deviant Wolfe Brewery will also be releasing a special beer for DWAR only.  This is an event you won’t want to miss!

All adults ages 21+ who register for the race will receive a coupon for 1 free beer at Deviant Wolfe post race in a FLX Pint glass you get to keep!

Once registered you will be getting email updates from the race director about the race and with more information.
