Family 1-2 Hour, Sport 3 Hour, and Elite 6 Hour Adventure Challenge

About the Race

Don’t miss this unique completely unique race. The Ultimate Adventure Challenge is the first FLX completely spectator friendly race that everyone will be able to watch online. It will also be a fully GPS and phone legal race (a smart phone is required).

A totally unique race – how it works. First you will need the special App for the race. Second there are no specific required legs, the entire race is purely Rogaine, use bike, foot, or boat to reach as many checkpoints as you can in the time limit. Use YOUR team strategy to visit checkpoints using all resources available.

We will be doing LiveLox tracking. All racers please download and create Livelox account before the race.  https://www.livelox.com/

Photo checkpoints will be logged using our special phone App. All teams will need an iPhone or Android phone to compete.  The phone app does not require a download and is at https://gemracer.com/

Be the first to experience this entirely new and incredibly fun form of racing.  Also – We have Socks – all racers will receive 2 pairs of the ultra-comfortable FLX compression socks to protect their legs.

Elite Racers

Ever wished you could compare your times with the Sport race? Well in this race you can. As part of the Elite race you will also complete the Sport race – think of it as 2 races in 1. Or even 3 races in 1 if you stick around for the Family Race (which you are welcome to do also). Also since in the last race your race director (and also EA Sports) spent a lot of time fixing broken chains – you can expect a special challenge involving fixing a chain. Of course you will have help there to talk you through it….

Sport Racers

You will be joined by the elite racers who will be half way through their race when they start the sport race.  And, yes – they are competing in both races so you will get some real competition. And if you want even more racing, you are welcome to stick around and do the family race.

Family Racers

The family race will start with a drive. From the main TA at Bear Pond you will  drive and park by the Blackwater Creek paddle TA (which beats biking 3 miles down the full sun road and allows me to take you to some really cool spots.

What do I Need?

The sport and family divisions of this race are designed to be truly family friendly.  You will need a mountain bike as that will be the fastest way to get to many of the checkpoints. These checkpoints will have special surprises that may take you off on foot, boat, or completing a task to gather more checkpoints.  Some checkpoints you will want a boat, and we will supply them just where you need them!

Three hours in the sport may seem like a long time, but you won’t be doing any one discipline for longer than 30 minutes (unless you decide to).  You will probably wish you had even more time.

Race for Free

The Family race starts after ceremonies for the Elite and Sport races. Racers in both of these races are welcome to join their families for the family race.
